Introduction
This Cancellation Policy governs the terms and conditions under which bookings, services, and subscriptions can be cancelled on Desttino ("Desttino", "Company," "our," "us," or "we"). This policy applies to all users (each, a "User") who make bookings or purchase services through our website or platform ("Platform").
Important Note
Please read this Cancellation Policy carefully before making any booking or purchase. By completing a booking or purchase, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
Cancellation Deadlines
Cancellation deadlines are based on the time zone of the booking location unless otherwise specified. All times are in the local time of the destination.
This policy applies to all bookings made directly through Desttino. Bookings made through third-party platforms may be subject to different cancellation policies as determined by those platforms.
1. General Cancellation Policy
Our general cancellation terms vary depending on the type of service booked and the time of cancellation. The following principles apply to most cancellations:
- Free Cancellation Period: Most bookings can be cancelled without charge within 24 hours of booking, provided the cancellation occurs at least 7 days before the service date.
- Cancellation Windows: Different cancellation windows apply based on the booking type and proximity to the service date.
- Non-Cancellable Bookings: Some bookings are marked as "Non-Cancellable" at the time of booking and cannot be cancelled.
- Partial Cancellations: In some cases, you may cancel part of a booking (e.g., reduce the number of guests) subject to minimum stay/participant requirements.

8. Modifications vs Cancellations
Date Changes
- Often treated as a cancellation and rebooking if within penalty period
- Some providers allow free date changes up to certain deadlines
- Price differences may apply if new dates have different rates
Guest Count Changes
- Reducing guests: May be subject to cancellation terms for removed guests
- Adding guests: Subject to availability and may incur additional charges
- Minimum occupancy requirements may prevent reductions below certain thresholds
Upgrade/Downgrade
- Upgrades: Can usually be processed as modification with additional payment
- Downgrades: May be treated as partial cancellation with applicable fees
Modification Fee
Some bookings may incur a modification fee even if changes are allowed. This fee typically ranges from $25-50 and is in addition to any price differences.
9. No-Show Policy
What constitutes a no-show?
A "no-show" occurs when you fail to arrive for your booked service without cancelling within the required timeframe.
No-Show Consequences
- Full charges for the booked service apply
- No cancellation options available after no-show status
- May affect future booking eligibility
- Some providers may charge additional no-show fees
Grace Periods
- Hotels: Usually hold room until 6:00 AM next day if late arrival communicated
- Restaurants: Typically 15-30 minute grace period
- Tours: Usually depart on time; late arrivals may be considered no-shows
- Spa Services: 15-minute grace period; after that, service may be shortened or cancelled
Late Arrival Policy
If you're running late, please contact the service provider directly. Some may accommodate late arrivals, but service time may be shortened and full charges still apply.
